World of Outlaws Late Model Series(YORK, PENNSYLVANIA) The Rick Eckert Racing team traveled to the Little Valley Speedway in Little Valley, New York and the Winchester Speedway in Winchester, Virginia from August 22-24 for a pair of $10,000 to win World of Outlaws Late Model Series battles. On Thursday night at Little Valley, Rick Eckert timed in fifth quickest during the qualifying session and later ran second in heat race action. After drawing the third starting spot prior to the 50-lap feature event, Rick wound up slipping back to fifth at the finish behind only winner Darrell Lanigan, Dan Stone, Josh Richards, and Shane Clanton.

Following a day off on Friday, Rick tackled the ‘Raye Vest Memorial 50’ at Winchester on Saturday evening. The York, Pennsylvania ace posted the fourth fastest lap in Group B during time trials and later grabbed the third transfer spot through his stacked heat race. After rolling off from the outside of the sixth row in the 50-lap main event, which memorialized his late car owner Raye Vest, Rick hung around the top ten in the caution-free affair before claiming an eleventh place effort. Complete results from the doubleheader weekend can be viewed online at www.woolms.com.

Rick is about to embark on a huge five-race stretch over the busy Labor Day holiday weekend, as he plans to invade three different venues in the states of West Virginia and Pennsylvania from August 29-September 2. The popular driver known as “Scrub” will be behind the wheel of his own #24 Team Zero entry for the first four races of the extended weekend, while Monday’s finale at Roaring Knob will see Eckert in Paul Crowl’s #7 car.
