Lucas Oil Late Model Series(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Dennis Erb Racing, fresh off a very busy holiday weekend, is preparing their equipment and putting the finishing touches on their Barry Wright racecar for three more high-profile programs this week (July 10-12) in the states of Illinois and Missouri. Dennis Erb, Jr. has decided to enter tomorrow night’s annual ‘Herald & Review 100’ at the mighty Macon Speedway in Macon, Illinois. The UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals will once again sanction the rare 100-lapper tomorrow at Macon and a $5,000 top prize will be on the line.

The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will then take center stage on Friday and Saturday with a pair of $10,000 to win showdowns. On Friday, the Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois will play host to the ‘Battle at the Beach 50,’ while the annual running of the ‘CMH Diamond Nationals’ will wrap up the busy weekend on Saturday evening at the pristine Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri. The cameras of the Lucas Oil Production Studios will be on hand at both Midwestern venues to tape all of the thrilling action for broadcast in the upcoming months. Additional information on all three races this upcoming weekend can be accessed by clicking on www.thehelltour.com and www.lucasdirt.com.

Dennis spent his 4th of July holiday weekend with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, as four $10,000 to win events were planned in the states of Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Kentucky. The four-day stint got off to a rocky start, as transporter problems last Wednesday, July 2 caused Dennis to miss the series stop at Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex in Markleysburg, Pennsylvania. While the Carpentersville, Illinois native sat in Ohio getting those injector issues fixed on his truck, he did receive 75 hardship points from the series for missing the $10,000 to win race.

On Thursday, Dennis was back in action at Muskingum County Speedway in Zanesville, Ohio, as he finished fourth in his heat race and eleventh in the annual running of the ‘Crenos 50.’ At Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio on Friday, Dennis ran fifth in his heat race, won his B-Main, and later wound up seventeenth in the final rundown of the 50-lap headliner. In the weekend finale on Saturday at 201 Speedway in Sitka, Kentucky, Dennis finished fourth in heat race action prior to slipping to nineteenth in the A-Main. He still finds himself ninth in the latest version of the LOLMDS point standings following the action-packed holiday weekend. Full results can be viewed by accessing www.lucasdirt.com.
