West Liberty Raceway(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Billy Moyer and his famed #21 team were entrenched in the Badger State of Wisconsin from July 29-August 2, as they competed in a trio of high-profile World of Outlaws Late Model Series showdowns at two different venues. Things kicked off last Tuesday night at Shawano Speedway in Shawano, Wisconsin, as a $10,000 top prize was on the line. Billy laid down the quickest lap overall during qualifying prior to finishing second in heat race action. After drawing the fifth starting spot before the drop of the green flag in the 50-lap headliner, Billy hung around near the front and eventually netted a strong fifth place performance behind only winner Darrell Lanigan, Rick Eckert, Jimmy Mars, and Tim Fuller.

Next up for the Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) team was a visit to the renowned Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin for the 27th Annual ‘USA Nationals.’ On Thursday evening in a $6,000 to win preliminary event, Billy won his heat race prior to slipping back to ninth in the caution-free 40-lap feature. “Mr. Smooth” then ran second in his heat race on Friday to earn the inside fifth row starting spot for Saturday’s $50,000 to win ‘USA Nationals.’ During the course of the 100-lap crown jewel event, Billy raced hard around the 3/8-mile oval before claiming another ninth place effort. Complete results from Shawano and Cedar Lake can be obtained online by clicking on www.woolms.com.

The BMR team has two more events on their calendar for this week, as they will invade the states of Iowa and Kentucky from August 5-9. Tonight, Billy will gun for the $10,000 winner’s check in an unsanctioned show at West Liberty Raceway in West Liberty, Iowa. On Saturday evening, the #21 team has plans to be in attendance for a $3,000 to win special at Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway in Calvert City, Kentucky.
