Only one Lucas Cattle Company ULMA event took place over Father’s Day weekend last weekend after rain once again plagued much of the central Missouri region. Randolph County Raceway in Moberly, Missouri worked diligently to get the track ready for action and by the time the night was completed, 16 drivers took part in the late model portion of the program.

It didn’t take Lancaster, Missouri driver Chris Smyser very long to return to victory lane in ULMA action. After claiming the feature event the previous weekend, Symser found victory lane again at RCR by dominating the event from the pole position. Smyser will search for his third-consecutive victory this weekend at RCR when the track hosts another weekly program.

Cody Holtkamp and Kenny Mudd finished second and third behind Smyser while Kearney, Missouri driver John O’Neal advanced one spot to take fourth, one rung ahead of current point’s leader Jon Melloway in fifth. Rounding out the top ten were former point’s leader Todd McCoin, Dustin Hodges, TGerry Wilson, Daren Turner, and John Ketterer.

ULMA action resumes at RCR on Saturday, June 20th, RCR is located at 4081 US-24 in Moberly, Missouri. The Track Phone number is 660-833-1727. Be sure to visit RCR online at www.randolphcountyraceway.com.

Callaway Raceway in Fulton, Missouri was rained out last weekend but the track will try again to get a weekly program in again this Friday evening. For complete information and track details visit www.callawayraceways.com. The track is located at 7419 County Road 405 in Fulton, Missouri. Call 573-592-7795 or 573-642-6580 for race day information.

ULMA action returns to Lucas Oil Speedway after a special-event for sprint cars last week for the track’s mid-season championships. Discount coupons are available in the Bolivar Herald-Free Press. Former track champion Tommy Cordray currently leads the track’s point standings.

Speedway gates open at 5, with hot laps at 7, and racing at 7:30. Admission info: Adults (16 and up) $12,
Seniors (62 and up) $8, Youth (6-15) $5, Kids (5 and under) Free, Family Pass $25, and Pit Passes are $25. Lucas Oil Speedway located in Wheatland, Missouri. Find the track online at www.lucasoilspeedway.com.

The annual Triple Crown Shootout (TCS) event is fast-approaching and ULMA will soon be releasing detailed information on the event. The miniseries gets underway at Lucas Oil Speedway on Thursday, July 2nd then moves to Central Missouri Speedway in Warrensburg, Missouri on Friday, July 3rd. The series will wrap up at RCR on Saturday, July 4th, when the champion will be crowned. Once again, this year’s event is presented by RacinDirt.com. Drivers will be eligible for added money for finishing high on the list in the miniseries when the final points are added. There are also contingency prizes to be awarded for the TCS.

Jon Melloway holds onto his lead after last week’s lone event at Randolph County Raceway (RCR). Several RCR regulars have found their way to the upper portion of the standings. With all three tracks scheduled to be back in action this weekend, the standings should be even closer after all events are completed. Once drivers hit 15 starts for the year they will discard their lower finishes in hopes of better points-earning nights.
