(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS)  The Dennis Erb Racing team was back on the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series trail from May 18-20 with scheduled stops in the states of Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.  On Thursday night in the weekend opener at LaSalle Speedway in LaSalle, Illinois, Dennis Erb, Jr. timed in nineteenth fastest overall during qualifying prior to grabbing the fourth transfer spot through his heat race.  After starting the 50-lap feature event from the outside of the fifth row, Dennis blasted past seven competitors during the $10,000 to win ‘Spring Shootout’ on his way to a stellar third place podium performance behind only race winner Scott Bloomquist and runner-up Mike Marlar!

In the first-ever series visit to Luxemburg Speedway in Luxemburg, Wisconsin on Friday evening, another $10,000 top prize was on the line for the #28 team.  Dennis stopped the clock fourteenth quickest overall during time trials and later wound up fifth in his stacked heat race.  With passing at a premium during the 50-lapper, the Carpentersville, Illinois standout was able to move past four racecars to finish tenth at the Badger State venue.  Saturday’s $12,000 to win ‘NAPA North Star Nationals’ at Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minnesota was then unfortunately washed out by inclement weather.

Dennis still finds himself eighth in the latest version of the heated LOLMDS point standings following the shows over the weekend in the Upper Midwest.  Full results from LaSalle and Luxemburg can be viewed online at www.lucasdirt.com.

A huge week leading into the Memorial Day holiday will greet Dennis Erb Racing with four pivotal Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series battles scheduled from May 23-27 in the states of Nebraska and Missouri.  Up first will be the inaugural running of the ‘Go 50’ on Tuesday at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Nebraska.  A $10,000 winner’s check will be awarded tomorrow evening in the 50-lap main event in the Cornhusker State.

The 25th Annual ‘Show-Me 100’ will then headline the holiday weekend, as three separate throwdowns will once again be held at the pristine Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri on May 25-27.  A $6,000 paycheck will be up for grabs in Thursday’s ‘Cowboy Classic,’ while the $6,000 to win ‘Tribute to Don and Billie Gibson’ is scheduled for Friday.  Both preliminary programs will consist of qualifying, heat races, consolation events, and a 40-lap feature.  Points will be awarded in each of the two preliminary shows to determine the line-ups for Saturday’s crown jewel finale, which will once again boast a whopping $30,000 windfall.  Additional information on both the ‘Go 50’ and the ‘Show-Me 100’ can be accessed by pointing your Internet browser to www.lucasdirt.com.
