Pontoon Beach, IL (April 20th, 2011) The extreme weather and very wet conditions have slowed down the progress on the construction projects at Tri-City Speedway and forced promoters Tammy & Kevin Gundaker to push back opening night until Friday, May 6th.
The two day Nothern All Star Late Model Series event and UMP Modified special scheduled for this Thursday and Friday has been canceled.
On Friday, May 6th, Tri-City Speedway will feature a full program of racing including UMP Late Models, UMP Modifieds, UMP Pro Late Models, Street Stocks which will be UMP sanction as UMP Factory Stocks in 2011 and Tri-City Speedway’s Factory Stock division which is UMP sanctioned as UMP Sport Compacts.
Tri-City Speedway will also host a Test & Tune on Sunday, May 1st from 2pm-5pm with gates opening at 1pm.
