Qualifying Results from the Silver Dollar Nationals

MLRA(July 23, 2011) Buckner, MO –
Malvernbank.com qualifying took place Friday night in anticipation of the $25,000 to win Silver Dollar Nationals at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, NE. Lucas Oil MLRA series regulars did well in preparation for Saturday’s event. No driver won two heat races in the unique qualifying format. Heat race wins went to, Kyle Berck, Billy Moyer, Don O’Neal, Austin Hubbard, Wendell Wallace, Chad Simpson, John Anderson, Dale McDowell, Chris Simpson and Leon Zeitner.

The top 20 cars in passing points from the two heat races makeup the first ten rows in Saturday’s 80 lap finale. Chris Simpson gained the most passing points by way of a heat race win and 2nd place finish in a race which he started 9th. He will be on the pole for the biggest race in Nebraska history. “This would be awesome for us to pull this off,” stated Simpson. “I think it would help all of us out sponsor wise. I think we’re good, we’ll just see how it goes tomorrow.”

Action gets underway Saturday at 7:30 PM, with two Lucas Oil MLRA last chance qualifier races, a complete USMTS modified show and the Silver Dollar Nationals Feature.
