MLRA(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) The Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) team racked up their thirteenth and fourteenth victories of the 2011 racing season on October 14-15 at the venerable West Plains Motor Speedway in West Plains, Missouri! The Lucas Oil MLRA Series wrapped up their ’11 campaign with the ‘MLRA Fall Nationals.’ On Friday night at West Plains, Billy Moyer won his heat race in preliminary action and later grabbed the point on lap five of the 30-lap main event. The popular Hall of Fame driver went on to lead the remainder of the distance to pick up the $2,000 payday over Billy Moyer, Jr., RC Whitwell, Jesse Stovall, and Jack Sullivan.

In the ‘MLRA Fall Nationals’ finale on Saturday evening at WPMS, Billy once again won his heat race and later rolled into the lead on the ninth circuit of the 40-lapper. The Batesville, Arkansas ace then drove away from the field to capture the $3,000 top prize over Billy Moyer, Jr., John Anderson, RC Whitwell, and Tony Jackson, Jr. Full results from the weekend sweep at West Plains can be accessed online at www.mlraracing.com.

“We always enjoy getting to race at West Plains and it was good to get a couple of wins there last weekend,” quoted Moyer recently. “Our car was pretty decent on Friday night, but we worked hard on it and got it right for Saturday’s show. Hopefully, we can go down to Whynot this weekend and compete for the victory. We are still in line for that Mississippi Triple Crown Challenge bonus money if we can win, so that is definitely in the back of our minds heading into Whynot.”

Billy and the #21 team will look to duplicate their West Plains success this upcoming weekend at the Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, Mississippi on October 21-22. The 17th Annual ‘Coors Light Fall Classic’ will be held at Whynot and a $15,000 winner’s check is on the line. Qualifying and heat race action will take place on Friday night, while the consolation events and the ‘Coors Light Fall Classic’ are scheduled for Saturday evening. If Billy can win at Whynot this weekend, he will be in line for at least a $3,000 bonus in the Mississippi Triple Crown Challenge.
