World of Outlaws Late Model Series(YORK, PENNSYLVANIA) The Rick Eckert Racing team invaded the Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania last weekend (June 28-30) for the 6th Annual ‘Firecracker 100’ presented by GottaRace.com. The three-race World of Outlaws Late Model Series extravaganza drew a stellar 56 car field to the racy Keystone State speedplant. In the $6,000 to win prelims, Rick Eckert ran second in his heat race and sixth in the 30-lapper on Thursday night, while he finished third in his heat race and tenth in the 30-lap A-Main on Friday evening.

When the action really heated up at Lernerville on Saturday, the cameras of the SPEED Channel were on hand to tape all of the dirt-slinging action.
Rick grabbed the second transfer spot through his loaded heat race behind only prelim winner Shane Clanton and later rolled off from the inside of the third row in the $30,000 to win ‘Firecracker 100.’ The York, Pennsylvania native fought valiantly for a top ten finish in the 100-lapper, but ultimately faded to a thirteenth place effort in the mega-event. Rick still finds himself second in the latest WOOLMS point standings following the tripleheader weekend at Lernerville. Full results can be accessed online at www.worldofoutlaws.com.
