World of Outlaws Late Model Series(YORK, PENNSYLVANIA) The Rick Eckert Racing team trekked to the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio on September 7-8 for the 42nd Annual ‘World 100.’ The most prestigious event in the Dirt Late Model industry drew 123 entrants to the 1/2-mile speedplant, all of whom were gunning for the $50,000 payday. Mother Nature took the win during qualifying on Friday night, which condensed the entire show into a one-day program on Saturday.

During the one-round qualifying session on Saturday afternoon, Rick Eckert posted the sixth quickest lap and later grabbed the third and final transfer spot through his loaded heat race. After rolling off from the outside of the ninth row in the 100-lapper, “Scrub” held his own early, but later retired after only 39 circuits. Rick wound up twenty-sixth in the final rundown of this year’s version of the ‘World 100.’ Full results from the “Big E” can be viewed online at www.eldoraspeedway.com.

Following Eldora, the #24 team will jump back on the World of Outlaws Late Model Series trail on September 14-15 in the states of Illinois and Missouri. The ‘Photobilly 50’ will kick things off on Friday night at the tiny Belle-Clair Speedway in Belleville, Illinois and a $12,000 top prize will be on the line. The doubleheader will then conclude on Saturday evening at the Federated Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Missouri with the annual running of the $10,000 to win ‘Pepsi Nationals.’ Rick comes into the WOOLMS double-dip second in the latest version of the series point standings.
