DIRTcar(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Dennis Erb, Jr. and his #28 team trekked to the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio on October 5-6 for the annual running of the ‘UMP Nationals.’ After inclement weather nixed qualifying on Friday night, the entire show was condensed into a one-day program on Saturday. Dennis laid down the fourth fastest lap in his group during the qualifying session and later won his stacked heat race.

After starting the $5,000 to win main event from the outside of the front row, Dennis was running third late in the 40-lapper until a flat tire helped relegate him to a disappointing fourteenth place finish. The Carpentersville, Illinois standout also ran second in the Race of Champions at the “Big E” behind only winner Jason Feger. Full results from the ‘UMP Nationals’ at Eldora can be viewed online at www.eldoraspeedway.com.

The Dennis Erb Racing team will now head south to the state of Mississippi on October 12-13 for the 18th Annual Coors Light ‘Fall Classic.’ The unsanctioned, two-day show will kick-off with qualifying and heat races on Friday night at the Whynot Motorsports Park. On Saturday evening, consolation events and the 100-lap feature event will headline the action at the 1/3-mile Meridian, Mississippi oval. A $15,000 winner’s check is on the line at Whynot where Dennis finished a strong runner-up to Jonathan Davenport last year.
