Brighton, CO (March 25, 2013) RC Whitwell of Tucson, Arizona picked up his first career win with the CDM Super Late Model Southern Series Presented by Indy Screen Print and a $1,200 check at his home track Tucson International Raceway. Not only did this win move RC Whitwell into the CDM Super Late Model Southern Series points lead after three races, it was even more special because it came on his car owner, Sue Tahtinen’s birthday.

Pole sitter Brad Williams had one of his best ever nights racing late model just days after his wife gave birth to a little girl. Brad  won his heat race, and the dash for cash, but he was not able to complete the sweep of the nights races. Williams led the first hand full of laps but 5th place starter RC Whitwell was on a roll and took the lead. Lonnie Parker Jr would also get around Williams a few laps latter and then he went up and took the lead from Whitwell. Parker would give up the lead to Whitwell just after the half way mark as they were working threw lapped traffic. Whitwell would lead the rest of the way and bring home the win. Parker was able to hold on to 2nd. The Keizer Aluminum Wheels Hard Charger or the race was Garrett Alberson. Alberson used the high line to move from his 19th place starting spot to finish 3rd. Brad Williams and Jeff Manka would round out the top 5.

Championship Dirt Motorsports would like to thank Sierra Mining and Crushing and Biguns Southwest for adding $100 each to the RaJinRacewear Dash for Cash. With this extra money we were able to pay the winner of the Dash for Cash $200 and the 2nd place finisher $100. We would also like to thank all of our sponsors, Indy Screen Print, Total Seal Piston Rings, RaJin Racewear, Five Star Race Car Bodies, Keiser Aluminum Wheels, Big Horn Graphics, Hoosier Tire, Klein Engines, and R2C Air Cleaners.
