ASHLAND, KY (May 22, 2013) – Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series driver, Steve Francis of Ashland, KY had an impressive weekend at Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, AR. Steve brought home the Georgia Boot-sponsored Clint Bowyer Racing, Barry Wright Race Cars #15 a third-place finish in the Bad Boy 98.
Steve was solid in Friday Night’s preliminaries dominating his heat race to earn the third starting spot in the 98-lap $20,000 to win feature event. Steve kept his the car in the top five the entire distance on Saturday Night as he would cross the finish line in third. John Blankenship won the event followed by Brady Smith.
Steve is now up to fourth in the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Championship Points Standings. Steve and the Clint Bowyer Racing Team will head this weekend to Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO for the 21st Annual Show-Me 100 Presented by ProtectTheHarvest.com.
On Thursday Night, May 23rd the Lucas Oil MLRA Late Models will take to the track for a $5,000 to win event. On Friday Night, May 24th will be RED BUCK Time Trials and Heat Races. On Saturday Night, May 25th will be the B-Mains, $2,000 to win non-qualifiers race, and the 100-lap $30,000 to win Show-Me 100 main event.
