Mars Racing Ready for Wild West Shootout at USA Raceway!

wws400(MENOMONIE, WISCONSIN) The Mars Racing team has made the long southwest trip to Tucson, Arizona to enter the 9th Annual ‘Wild West Shootout’ at USA Raceway. The six-race miniseries in the Copper State, which will be held from January 10-18, will actually start with an open practice session later today. A total of four shows will pay $3,000 to the winner in Tucson, while the other two events will pay $5,000 and $10,000 to win respectively. For the first time, the ‘Wild West Shootout’ will carry a point fund with more than $5,000 distributed among the top five drivers, with $2,000 earmarked for the champion.

Jimmy Mars is always a factor when he ventures to Arizona and 2015 marks his sixth straight year of opening up his season at the 3/8-mile clay oval. The Menomonie, Wisconsin standout has amassed three victories in the last five years and a whopping twenty Top Five performances. Last season, Jimmy picked up a $5,000 National Dirt Racing League (NDRL) triumph and finished in the top five on five different occasions, with his worst effort still a solid eighth. Each of the six races from January 10-18 will be broadcast live via Pay-Per-View online at www.dirtondirt.com.
