Dennis-Erb-Jr(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Dennis Erb, Jr. and his #28 team returned to the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series scene in a pair of $10,000 to win events on March 20-21 at Atomic Speedway in Chillicothe, Ohio and Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana. On Friday night in the Buckeye State, Dennis finished eighth in his heat race and ninth in his B-Main, but later received a series provisional to gain access into the ‘Buckeye Spring 50.’ During the course of the rough and tumble 50-lapper, Dennis was able to move past fifteen competitors – primarily on the bottom portion of the speedplant – en route to a solid eighth place performance.

At Brownstown on Saturday evening, the 18th edition of the ‘Indiana Icebreaker’ took place and another $10,000 top prize was on the line. Dennis ran fifth in his stacked heat race, but later earned the second transfer spot through his B-Main. In the 50-lap headliner, which was contested on a one-groove racing surface, the Carpentersville, Illinois ace moved up three spots on his way to a sixteenth place effort. Dennis currently finds himself eleventh in the latest LOLMDS point standings following the doubleheader weekend. Full results can be viewed online at www.lucasdirt.com.

With many of the special events around the country succumbing to Mother Nature this upcoming weekend, Dennis will now focus his sights on the 4th Annual ‘Thaw Brawl’ at LaSalle Speedway in LaSalle, Illinois. The American Late Model Series (ALMS) will preside over a pair of shows at the 1/4-mile bullring on April 3-4. A $5,000 payday will be on the line on Friday evening, while the weekend finale on Saturday boasts a hefty $15,000 winner’s check. Dennis is the defending winner of the ‘Thaw Brawl,’ as he pocketed $15,000 for his efforts last season. Additional information can be found by pointing your web browser to www.lasallespeedway.com.
