show-me-100-2015.jpg(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) stormed into Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi on Saturday evening, May 9 for a single-day shootout, which was co-sanctioned by both the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series and the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series. Billy Moyer clicked off the fastest lap of the whopping 47 competitors during the qualifying session to earn Fast Time honors. Following a heat race triumph, Billy started the $2,500 to win main event from the outside of the front row. “Mr. Smooth” then led laps 1-6 and 21-22 of the headliner before settling for a strong runner-up showing in the 40-lapper behind only victor Bub McCool. Full results from “The Mag” can be located online at www.magnoliadirt.com.

The #21 team decided today to take the upcoming weekend off from racing action and will instead wait until Memorial Day weekend to hit the track again. Billy will next sling dirt during the 23rd Annual ‘Show-Me 100’ at the pristine Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri from May 21-23. The three-day crown jewel extravaganza in the Show-Me State will kick off with the ‘Cowboy Classic’ on Thursday and the Lucas Oil MLRA Series showdown will boast a $5,045 top prize. Preliminary action for the ‘Show-Me 100’ will then take place on Friday night, while Saturday’s portion of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series biggie will be headlined by the huge 100-lap main event, which pays $30,000 to the winner.

The busy holiday weekend schedule will then conclude on Sunday, May 24 at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois. The UMP DIRTcar Series will preside over the annual running of the ‘Budweiser 50′ and a $10,000 winner’s check will be on the line in the one-day affair. You can learn more about the big events at both Wheatland and Granite City by pointing your web browser to www.lucasdirt.com and www.tricityspeedway.net.
