Fayette County Speedway moves to Saturday nights in 2016

Fayette County SpeedwayBROWNSTOWN, IL – Charlie Depew, Fayette County Speedway promoter, recently announced the track is moving to a predominately Saturday evening program for the 2016 season.  The 2016 Schedule includes racing programs most Saturday evenings April through August, a few Friday night events on the schedule, and a multi-day event in September 29-October 1.

The Season Opener is scheduled for Saturday, April 9 (weather permitting).  For 2016 regular shows, pit and grandstand gates will open at 4:30 p.m., hot laps will begin at 6:30 p.m., with racing immediately following hot laps.  Regular nightly classes are UMP sanctioned and include Modifieds, Sport Mods, Street Stocks, and Hornets.

Highlights of the 2016 schedule include:

 
FRIDAY 5/20 **Special Race** POWRi Midgets & 600cc Micros plus regular nightly classes
SATURDAY 6/11 **Special Race** Late Models plus regular nightly classes
FRIDAY 7/1 **Special Race** UMP Summer Nationals event

Late Models $10,000 to win, Summit Modified $1,000 to win, SportMods $750 to win, Pure Stocks $500 to win,

Hornets $250 to win

THURSDAY 7/14 **Special Race** Late Models plus regular nightly classes during the annual Fayette County Fair race!
FRIDAY 7/15 ** Special Event ** Motor Cross during the Fayette County Fair
THURSDAY 9/29 Practice Night – Sportmod Championships
FRIDAY 9/30 **Special Race** Sportmod Championships Day 1

Heats & Dashes for Hornet, Pure Stock, & Sportmods

Plus full Modified show-$1,000 to win

SATURDAY 10/1 **Special Race** Sportmod Championships Day 2

Consi & Feature for Hornet, Pure Stock & Sportmods

Sportmods-$10,000 to win
