Lucas-Oil-Late-Model-SeriesWAYCROSS, GA (January 21st, 2015) – Officials of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series are getting ready to head to the sunshine state of Florida for its second stop of the 2015 season. The stars of the LOLMDS will travel to East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa, Florida for the 39th Annual East Bay Winternationals, for a week of action-packed events in early February.

Officials of East Bay Raceway Park have been making preparations in great anticipation of this year’s event. The Winternationals will consist of an open practice, on Sunday, February 8th, from 6PM to 9PM, followed by six full nights of racing, from February 9th through 14th. Each day, the Drivers Meeting will be at 5:15PM (ET), Hot Laps will begin at 6:00PM, and racing will begin at 7:00PM.

The Winternationals will offer racers over $200,000 in purse money over the course of six nights of events. Two additional starting positions will be added to each night’s feature event, giving 26 drivers a chance to earn a coveted Winternationals feature win. The 25th starting position will go to the driver that fails to transfer into the feature event through the heat races or B-mains and who was the fastest in qualifying, among those drivers. The 26th starting position will go to the winner of the DirtonDirt.com Strawberry Dash each night.

East Bay Raceway Park officials have added two Non-Qualifier Races to the schedule of events for Friday and Saturday Feb 14th and 15th. Racers that fail to transfer to the feature event on those nights will compete in a Non-Qualifiers race that will pay $500 to the winner and $100 to start for each of those two nights.

The 39th Annual East Bay Winternationals has a long standing tradition of producing exciting finishes on the extremely racy ¼ mile bull ring. This week-long event for the LOLMDS is sure to draw a huge crowd from around the country. Lucas Oil Production Studios will film Friday and Saturday’s events for broadcast on the MAVTV: Motorsports Network in 2015.

East Bay Raceway Park has also partnered with the online website: www.xsan.tv to provide Live coverage of the Winternationals, through a Pay-Per-View Broadcast. Fans can tune in for five of the six nights, Feb 9th -13th at: www.eastbayracewaypark.com and click on the Pay-Per-View Link on the track’s website to order each night’s broadcast.
