Hatton, Stapleton, O’Neal, and Rattliff Heat Race Polesitters for 21st Annual MAC Metals Lake Cumberland Classic

Lake Cumberland SpeedwayBurnside, KY-October 21, 2011- Night one activities for the 21st Annual MAC Metals Lake Cumberland Classic at Lake Cumberland Speedway is in the books with time trials for all divisions complete and heat races completed for the Modifieds, Super Dirt Stocks, and Front Wheel Drive divisions.

Don O’Neal of Martinsville, IN was the overall top qualifier and fast qualifier out of Group B in Red Buck Cigars Time Trials and earned $100 for his efforts among 31 entries. Polesitters for heat race events will be Aaron Hatton of Mount Sterling, KY, Chad Stapleton of Edinburgh, IN, Don O’Neal, and Justin Rattliff of Campbellsville, KY. The top three finishers out of the four heats will transfer to the main event, while the top four finishers from the B-Mains will transfer, along with two track provisionals, will make up the 22 car starting field.

In other action, Tommy Bailey of Corbin, KY and Tommy Gregory of Monticello, KY won the Modified heats, with Bailey the top qualifier among 16 entries at 14.686 seconds. The Outlaw Super Dirt Stock division would see John Smith of Winfield, TN win the heat and also be top qualifier among 7 entries at 16.244 seconds. There would be nine Front Wheel Drive and Eddie Struck of Somerset, KY would be top qualifier at 17.876 seconds, while James Crowe II of Hazard, KY would win the heat.
