Jesse Stovall parted ways with former car owner Steve Rushin at the end of the 2011 racing season. Stovall has reunited with his former car owner, Fred Bishop, whom Stovall drove modifieds for in 2010 and collected 21 modified wins in 2010. Bishop of Dewey, OK purchased the Victory Circle by Moyer car from Rushin that Stovall drove at the end of the 2011 season. The team plans to add an additional Victory Circle car to their lineup and run engines from Scott Bailey Racing Engines.
Stovall stresses that there were no hard feelings with Rushin after their split. Stovall will now be able to work on the cars out of his own shop instead of traveling to Poplar Bluff, MO each week to work on them.
Stovall won three MARS DIRTcar Series events in 2011 including a huge win at I-55 Raceway in Pevely, MO in which he edged Brandon Sheppard for the win by a nose. Stovall finished second in the overall MARS DIRTcar Series points chase.
Stovall will kick off the 2012 season next week in Tucson, AZ at the Wild West Shootout mini-series held at USA Raceway.
