northsouthlogoweb(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Dennis Erb Racing will rejoin the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series tour this upcoming weekend (August 8-9) at the venerable Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky. The 32nd Annual ‘North/South 100’ will take place this weekend at the undersized 1/2-mile speedplant and the crown jewel spectacular will once again boast a hefty $50,000 winner’s check. For the first time, drivers will run two sets of heat races on Friday night with passing points determining the starting field for the first eight rows of Saturday’s 100-lapper.

The remainder of the grid will come out of three B-Mains on Saturday that will help set the stage for the prestigious ‘North/South 100.’ The high-definition television cameras of the Lucas Oil Production Studios will be on hand throughout the weekend to tape the event for broadcast on several TV Networks in 2014. Dennis Erb, Jr. rallied to finish eleventh in last year’s version of the ‘North/South 100’ after starting near the back of the pack and comes into this weekend ninth in the latest LOLMDS point standings. Additional information on Florence Speedway can be obtained by pointing your web browser to www.florencespeedway.com.

Dennis and the #28 team were in the Badger State of Wisconsin last week for a trio of World of Outlaws Late Model Series showdowns from July 29-August 2. Last Tuesday, Dennis grabbed a solid top ten finish in his yearly visit to Shawano Speedway in Shawano, Wisconsin. After running third in his heat race, Dennis was able to move up one position to claim a tenth place effort in the $10,000 to win feature. From there, the dirt-slinging action quickly shifted to the renowned Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin for the 27th Annual ‘USA Nationals’ weekend.

The Carpentersville, Illinois ace did not have the best of luck at CLS throughout the weekend, as he unfortunately missed out on transferring into both the $6,000 to win main event on Thursday and the $50,000 to win ‘USA Nationals’ on Saturday. Dennis missed advancing into the 40-lap headliner on Thursday by one mere spot through both his heat race and his B-Main, while he finished fifth in his heat race and seventh in his B-Main prior to the 100-lap ‘USA Nationals.’ You can view complete results from both Shawano and Cedar Lake by logging onto www.woolms.com.

Dennis would like to thank all of his sponsors including: J.R. McBride Leasing, JL Scrap Metals, M&S Concrete, Kuntz & Company Racing Engines, Petersen Aluminum, Performance Rod & Custom (PRC), Hoosier Racing Tires, Ramirez Motorsports, AFCO Racing Products, Allstar Performance, Aurora Rod Ends, Barry Wright Race Cars, Beyea Custom Headers, Brinn Transmissions, Butlerbuilt Safety Systems, Champ Pans, CV Products, Delph Communications, Dyer’s Top Rods, Envy Suspension & Race Consultants, Fel-Pro Gaskets, Five Star Performance Bodies, Frankland Racing Supply, K-B Carburetors, Mason Racin’, Performance Engineering & Manufacturing, Peterson Fluid Systems, Quarter Master, Simpson Race Products, Sweet Mfg., T&D Machine Products, VP Racing Fuels, Weld Wheels, Wiles Driveshafts, and Wilwood Engineering.
