WAYCROSS, GA (May 21, 2016) – As the 24th Annual Lucas Oil Show-Me 100 – Presented by ProtectTheHarvest.com approaches, anticipation is high for the bigger, richer format of the crown jewel event, which will be held at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO.

This blockbuster weekend, which is co-sanctioned with the Lucas Oil Midwest Latemodel Racing Association (MLRA), kicks off on Thursday, May 26th at the “Diamond of Dirt Tracks.” Thursday’s program will feature a $6,000-to-win, $600-to-start event, honoring longtime MLRA Owner/Promoter Allen “Cowboy” Chancellor. The 3rd Annual “Cowboy Classic” will include a full program of: Time Trials, Heat Races, B-Mains, and a 40-lap main event.

The action on Friday, May 27th will pay tribute to Don and Billie Gibson, former promoters of West Plains Motor Speedway and founders of the Show-Me 100. The activities will include a complete program of: Time Trials, Heat Races, B-Mains, and a 40-lap, $6,000-to-win main event. Drivers will earn points in each of the two preliminary nights that will determine the line-ups for Saturday night’s finale.

The USRA Modifieds will be featured as the support class each night. Their activities on Thursday and Friday, May 26th-27th will feature a complete program of: Time Trials, Heat Races, B-Mains, and a 20-lap, $500-to-win main event each night.

On Saturday night, consolation events for the LOLMDS and the USRA Modifieds will be held, plus the Midwest Sheet Metal Show-Me Challenge. The top-24 drivers that did not transfer into the Show-Me 100 (via preliminary events) will be eligible to start the $2,500 to win, non-qualifiers race – held prior to the Show-Me 100 main event. The winner of the 20-lap, Midwest Sheet Metal Show-Me Challenge has the choice of keeping their $2,500 winnings, or forfeiting their earnings to start last in the main event. The Lucas Oil Show-Me 100 main event will follow the Midwest Sheet Metal Show-Me Challenge on Saturday night. The USRA Modifieds will cap off the weekend action with their $1,000-to-win main event.

Memorial Weekend and the Show-Me 100 is a tradition. Racers and fans alike can come out and enjoy numerous activities, including: camping, fishing, fireworks, a huge vendor midway area, and more. In addition, the award-winning, Lucas Oil Production Studios will be on hand to tape all the action for broadcast on CBS, NBC Sports, and MAVTV Motorsports Network at a later date.

LucasOilRacing.TV will offer a “LIVE” Broadcast of the Show-Me 100 events, providing multi-camera coverage of all the racing action as it happens LIVE, including driver interviews, instant replays and more! To learn more, visit: www.lucasoilracing.tv.
