DIRTcar Summer Nationals(MENOMONIE, WISCONSIN) Jimmy Mars and his #28 team trekked to the renowned Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin on June 15-16 for the annual ‘Masters’ weekend. The grueling UMP Summer Nationals tour sanctioned a pair of high-profile events at CLS. On Friday night, Jimmy ran second in heat race action and later started the $5,000 to win main event from the outside of the fourth row. During the course of the 30-lapper, Jimmy moved up three spots en route to a solid fifth place performance behind only winner Billy Moyer, Jr., Brian Birkhofer, Brian Shirley, and Billy Moyer.

At Cedar Lake on Saturday evening, a $10,000 top prize was on the line in the ‘Masters’ finale. Jimmy once again finished second in his loaded heat race to earn the eighth starting position in the 50-lap main event. With passing at a premium through much of the A-Main, the Menomonie, Wisconsin ace rode in line and eventually claimed a seventh place effort.
