Colcord, OK (July 5, 2013) – Jesse Stovall of Billings, MO picked up his first win of the year with the MARS series at West Siloam Speedway. The win was worth $2,000 and was his 13th career MARS feature win.
Stovall took the lead on lap 18 of the 25 lap feature when race-long leader Brad Looney of Republic, MO brought out the caution with a flat tire and Stovall held on for the win ahead of Woodward, OK driver, Tommy Weder Jr.
Brantlee Gotschall of Nevada, MO; Raymond Merrill of Salisaw, OK and Timothy Culp of Prattsville, AR rounded out the top five.
Stovall had suffered motor problems in his Al Humprey owned 00 at the 81 Speedway in Wichita, KS the night before and was unsure he would be able to race at West Siloam Speedway. Shane Essary of Aurora, MO lent Stovall his car so he could continue to race.
